Lord of Misrule

It is the season for Fall and Halloween bath bombs!  And as the weather gets cooler, those steaming, hot baths feel all the better.  All six of the bath bombs I will be sharing with you are from Lush, which is probably my favorite store of all time.  Natural ingredients, no testing on animals, charity work, and luxurious bath and beauty products that actually work – can’t go wrong!

So here is the first bath bomb I used for the fall season:

Lord of Misrule

This bomb is made with patchouli and black pepper oil.

Lush states that their inspiration for this bath bomb was the ruler of the pagan Feast of Fools, a medieval festival where lay people and those in power switched positions.

Lord of Misrule is also made with vanilla absolute and gardenia extract.

Patchouli is the star ingredient in this bath bomb.  It has been used as insect repellent and is also used in many perfumes. It can also be used for aromatherapy and as an antiviral oil.  It also has cooling and astringent properties.

The colors were just beautiful.  And there was a nice surprise of crackling candy at the end.

The water ended up being a deep purple.  I felt like I was bathing in wine.  😉  I smelled amazing after, too!

More bath bombs to come.

Thank you! I am currently at my parent’s house with screaming nephew and a feisty niece. So when I have some peace and quiet to really think about my favorite quotes I will get right on this. Thanks so much! 🙂
