This past weekend we attended the 43rd Annual Johnny Appleseed Festival at Mapleside Farms in Brunswick, Ohio. I have to say it is one of my favorite festivals to go to and it marks the beginning of the fall season.
When you first enter the festival there are vendors and food.
There aren’t a lot of vegetarian options, but I ate a pretzel with cheese and of course I had to have apple cider.
Jake, waiting for me to finish my pretzel.
Right next to the food area is the barn. This is where you can buy a myriad of fall delights. Apple butter, candy, popcorn, chocolate, gourds and apples of course.
I bought a bag of apples with caramel dipping sauce to go with it and some pumpkin butter.
The whole property is just beautiful.
A hay slide. 😛
On our way to the Pumpkin Village portion of the farm.
We went on a hayride through the orchard.
Then we explored the corn maze.
After that we ran to Cleats down the street really quick to grab some food and drinks and went back as the sun was almost setting.
We ended up going on the little piggy ride.
Then we waited for the sun to set.
Time to explore the corn maze in the dark. 🙂
It was fun and the weather was PERFECT. It was a great start to fall.
