Here are some pictures from Whipps Ledges in Hinckley, Ohio. The area is on the Hinckley Reservation and has exposed sandstone ledges. People can climb them if they have a permit, but the general public is allowed on the top of the ledges where accessible.
Here is the entrance to the ledges:
The ledges are surrounded by woods. It’s very pretty.
After exploring the ledges we went into the woods.
Eventually we decided it was time to head back to the car, but we needed to get back DOWN to it. We found these rocks that led down to a creek and then we followed the creek back to the car. It was actually harder than expected to climb down. Slippery rocks and such. I totally fell once or twice. And there were lots of spider webs. Ick! But we made it down ok and it was pretty fun, minus the spider webs of course.
